The Emperor Janamejaya

The stories from Shrimat Agrabhagwat (Shri Agropakhyanm), were retold to the son of parikshit Emperor Janmajaya in order to rule the public and state in a rightful religious way. The principal disciple of Shri Vedvyas, Maharshi Jaimini was the destined story teller. After listening and understanding them, his mind become meditative and there after his perplexed and disturbed mind got pacified and he ruled his people with the great balance and ultimately enjoyed salvation.

By the grace of Mother Mahalakshmi, format of God texts of the Divine Grace, To Bow the sacred character of shri Agrasen. Maharaja Janamejaya said:

Janamējaya uvāca.

Ēṣā dhan’yō hi dhan’yānāṁ dhan’yakr̥d dhan’yapuṅgava:

Narēṣu tu sanāgēṣu nāsti dhan’yatarō̕grata:

The learned Janamejaya said, “O, Great sage! Agrasen is praised by the being blessed. Therefore he should be called the greatest soul. After listening the stories and the ways of behavior of Agrasen, which are bright pure, secred and beneficial to men / his subject, I came to conclusion that Agrasen was the best man among Naras the human race.”

Hr̥di mē jāyatē saukhyaṁ paramaṁ ca tavānanāt.

Śr̥ṇvānasyāgrasēnasya pibataśca kathāmr̥tam.

“O, Maharshi Jaiminiji ! Listening the biography of Agrasen, the godly king. I have become extremely happy. My heart is full of bliss now.”

Ēka ēva kṣīranidhiriha santāpahōcyatē.

Kiṁ punaścarandrakiraṇairmalayānilasanyutai: .

Suśīlatvaṁ sa gamita: Sumanōbhiralaṅkr̥ta: .

Caritaṁ hyagrasēnasya śrutvā̕haṁ tē munē kr̥tī.

King Janamejaya said, “O, Maharshi! The sea of milk (kshirsagar) is said to be having the quality of solacing from wrath. If that sea gets associated with the fragrance of Malayachal mountain, and if it is moistened by the ambrosia and takes dip in the cooling rays of the moon and gets the fragrance from flowers, what that kshirsagar should be called?”

“O, Mahamuni! Maharshi Jaiminiji! In the same way the pious story of shri Agrasen which is mystic, guiding and interesting. Beside to hear it from is asent like person like you still a greater pleasure. It has pacified my mind.”

Śravaṇādēva lapsyantē pratiṣṭhājñānasampada: .

Agrasēnasya māhātmyānnādharmastān bhajiṣyati.

O, Mahatma! Listening this auspicious biography of shri Agrasen, the listener’s family and race get prestige in the society. one who decides to act according to Agrasen (mentally thinks) he does not become prey to any types of temptation.”

This mysterious biography, provides happiness. This is the most pious and divine story of humanily. This story (biography) provides blissful satisfaction as it tells about the right path of religion ( drama) finance (Arth) and satisfaction of greed(karma) and salvation (maksha) This story provide the strength to the brave men. This Holy book about the life of Agrasen. One who desires for riches, success, land, wealth and victory in the war should listen to this story in full.”
